What Is Faith?
Hebrews 11:1 KJV- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Comments
- Hope- The confident expectancy that something good is going to happen
- We start of with hope(the thing we are hoping for).
- What is substance?- That which is not subject to decay or which will not perish.
- Substance is the Word of God.
- Find where God's Word applies to your hope and that(God's Word) becomes the substance.
- Evidence of things not seen-the assurance or conviction that I know that I possess it NOW!
Examples
Hope- I hope to be free from fear and crazy thoughts.
Substance- 2Tim. 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and a sound mind.
Evidence- I am free of fear and crazy thoughts right now!
* 3 Things that God can not or will not do! *
- He can't LIE
- He can't FAIL
- He can't be pleased without FAITH
